The main purpose of this site is to assist Security and Telecommunication Professionals take advantage of various Internet technologies, especially the latest technology from manufacturers througout the world. The aim is to keep the site as professional as possible. With this in mind, this site has no direct sponsors and is not biased toward any one technology, vendor or product.

Evolution of Tech-man.com

This site started out as an archive of PDF files, mostly for my own use. It was way back in August 96 that www.oasistech.com offered me low cost web space. I started with a few pages, mostly listing new manuals and dealers.

I got the domain TECH-MAN.COM sometime in 1996, and I got this space sometime late Feb 98. I have been refining this site and hopefully it will serve its purpose well.

Sometime in 1997, I met another crazy visionary named Mark Leuck, through the alt.security.alarms newsgroup. Mark had a large collection of PDF files in his possession, which he painstakingly scanned and converted to PDF format. Together Mark and I are mostly responsible for all the PDF's you current see and use here. Thanks Mark.

This entire site, including images, text etc., were designed by me (unless specified otherwise). However, I would like to thank everyone who has given me suggestions, comments and ideas in designing this site. A few of those people - Manohar Kamath, Mark Leuck, Robert L. Bass, Bob La Londe, Irv Fisher, Malcolm Walls. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Jody Powlette. His help on database integration has made much of all you see possible....thanks Jody.

Tech Help! is a idea completely thought up by Mark Leuck. He has given me permission to enhanced and modify this wonderful Windows helpfile, which is always available for download. Thanks again Mark.
